ReviewBy Carcharodontosaurus: This figure has been spotted on the back of packages for The Lost World puppets, produced by Resaurus. They promoted their puppets with the use of Jurassic Park series 2 toys, and not The Lost World series 1 toys as one would expect. Even more perculiar was this unknown figure on several catalog shots, showing along with an early prototype (or just a painted released version) of "Harpoon" Harrison and a damaged and incomplete Capture Cruiser. This mystery figure sported several different paintjobs in the different catalog shots too. Because of the use of other JPS2 figures, and of the possibility that the "Harpoon" Harrison figure is also a prototype, this led to speculation that this figure might be an unreleased and previously unknown Jurassic Park series 2 prototype. After careful examination of the figure, it was later identified as Daniel Jackson from the 1994 Stargate toy line by Hasbro Inc. To this day, it's still unclear if this figure had indeed been planned for JPS2 and was later released in the Stargate line (much like how several JPS2 vehicles, including the Capture Cruiser, got re-released for the 1995 Congo line by Kenner). |
